I think there is alot of truth in what you say. I don't think many people realize BEFORE they have one, how much work is involved in being a good parent - to a baby OR a puppy. There's a book called
Parenting is Not for Wimps. Although I haven't read it, I remind myself of that phrase often. It is so true.
I do disagree that people expect their Yorkies to be babies instead of dogs. I think they expect them to be dolls instead of dogs.
