I totally agree with Chachi...if you do not step in with the appropriate authorities this pup will not make it. You may have to get some help if she is not receptive to your wanting to watch the pup for her. I can't imagine not checking on this poor animal for all that time. I wonder if you offered to "purchase" the pup from her if she would be persuaded to give it to you. This is a dreadful situation.
