I never use a collar.

Having lost my dear yorkie Mariposa (Mari) in June, due to severe collapsed trachea I would never put one on or recommend it to anyone.

It was a horrible condition that she had since she was 1 1/2 yrs she was 5 when she died. It was a very long road and a terrible death. Although it turns out it could have been from the her fathers side.

Yorkies and Maltese have a tender trachea. Please be very careful. You just don't know, if a collar gets pulled a little tight it might just set it off for a lifetime of hell.

With the bad case she had, it was almost amazing she lived as long as she did. We had to be so careful not to let her get too excited, too warm, etc. It actually got to where I wouldn't let company come over because I didn't know how she would be affected. A very long road. I loved her dearly, she was such a beauty and so sweet......sorry, I'm going on...
