Default car sickness

Hi all, I have a question about using Bonine. I read here a few weeks ago that it can be used for car sickness in puppies. The instructions were 1/4 tablet one hour before the trip. I just want to clarify that this dosage would be good for Rocco. He is 7.3 lbs and 81/2 months old. I also travel with a 13 year old 20lb. Jack Russel who is super anxious in the car. He dosent get sick but shakes and pants the entire time. Would Bonine also be something I could give him, and if so what type of dosage?
Now with the spring coming (thank goodness) I will be traveling to my little mountain house in PA. with Rocco, Dottie (sibling of Rocco), and Mudpie (Dottie's housemate)! The ride is usally about 2 hours and we do it almost every weekend. I am hoping the little ones will outgrow the car sickness.
