Very true. I just tend to panic when Chip's name is involved in the vet's office. We had a very rough first year with him as a puppy. He's four years old now, but after almost losing him due to allergic reactions at least 3 times and all the medical emergencies we had with him, anytime the vet calls me and says "It's about Chip" my heart stops. My biggest fear was something came out wrong in the blood work. Then she told me about the tooth and I thought the worst - that it was one of the side teeth in the back that helps him chew. The nurse that brought him out wasn't working with him specifically that day, so when I asked which tooth it was, we had to search for the missing hole! Then especially when I see that he doesn't even seem to notice that the tooth is gone... makes me feel so much better. I'm glad they caught it before it caused other problems.
