No not a rescue dog, I got him from a family who were going overseas. (Army). But I do have a feeling he may have been abused at one time. He fails what I call the "child abuse test" I put my arm up to stretch it out the other day; and he got scared like I was going to hit him. As soon as I got him I took him to the vet, and she gave him a complete work up and a clean bill of health. (besides his teeth)
Perhaps the kids were a little rough with him, I am not sure. But I can tell you he does not like to be left alone.
Any suggestions on what I should do.
