I use bands that come from the tack shop that are designed for horses, I find they do not come out easily, and they also don't rip the hair out when you take the bands out... they also come in different colors, I buy the black ones.
Also I was wondering, how long do you leave a top knot in? Can you leave it in for a few days if it's up well? Harley doesn't like me fussing with his hair, but he leaves it alone once I get it in.
