I have not rehomed a little one but I have a rehomed little girl (Gracie). She came from a hobby breeder. The breeder recently came to visit and we were both curious about how Gracie would behave.

Rest assured that she is 100% OUR dog. She treated her original owner like she treats anyone else visiting us. She was friendly but chose to stay on Daddy or Mommy's lap during the visit!

Rehomed dogs almost always do as well or better in their new homes. The people that take them are usually so happy to get them they treat them extra specially good. I'm sure there are exceptions to that rule and there will be dogs that are hard for anyone to keep but I think rehoming is a gift you give to both the people receiving the dog and the dog itself.
