The vet that chips your dog should give you the registration paperwork and then you either mail in paperwork or go online depending on the company...but since your dog isn't chipped yet you need to express the importance of getting an internationally compatible chip implanted in the first place...makes it all so much easier-I'd be surprised if they didn't already have that system set up and were familiar with the process and explaining the steps in it to you-I thought you were initially asking because your dog was already chipped...if you go to someone besides a vet like a rescue or animal control they might offer these services so
I'd be really sure to express your need first and make sure they (vet or otherwise) can not only get you the right chip and through the right company but can fully explain the process of registration to you.
