I haven't re-homed a dog but I did have to re-home a Bengal cat of mine. He was from my last litter of kittens and I really wanted him as a souvenir of my breeding program I had for 10 years. I had his mom and his sister from my first litter and he used to beat the cr*p out of them. He was a real big boy, extremely sweet with people but completely awful to other cats. He is now living happily on my in-laws farm, killing weasels, rats and mice. We get to visit him and he is still really friendly with us. I must say, he is the most gorgeous barn cat I've ever heard of!! I used to feel really guilty about not keeping him, but when I see him being so happy, I know we've done the right thing.
