Thanks for the advice. Since I posted, Sophie got a little red place on top of her head and got some redness on her back and we took her in on Thursday and he diagnosed her with Demonex. Then she had an allergic reaction to the medication they put her on all her hair on the top of her hair started falling off. They had to shave her little head yesterday! He said we need to get this under control and go ahead and spay her in the next couple of weeks because the hormones can actually make it worse. Now I am concerned about the medications and anesthesia and having an allergic reaction to that, but if it makes her better, I want to do what is best. Another thing that concerns me is that they want to keep her overnight but there is nobody that stays with them overnight, so I am going to push/demand to bring her home that night. I like my vet and feel I can trust him, but I am so nervous about it. Anyhow, it looks she will be getting spayed in the next couple of weeks. |
