Having a yorkie is a little like being a celebrity, you get lots of attention, but some of it isn't good. I take Joey many places, but there's always much more to deal with when I take him. You sound like you know how to handle yourself, and your first priority should always be protecting your dog. Picking her up was a good idea, even if it offended someone else; you have no way of knowing, if the dog is truly gentle. Good things our babies don't understand words that well, I doubt if they'd like being called a rat, but size-wise they are close, I guess, haven’t really seen any rats, except in the lab. Anyway, it sounds like Poppy had a wonderful day, and she's really adorable, so I can understand why she receives so much attention. |
