Zhoie was 2 yrs in Jan and has never been to a groomers. I trim her myself by trial & error. Yeap, it's only hair, it will grow back. I started her week after we came home at 12 weeks, mostly just turning on the trimmers and letting them rub on her, clipping a few hairs with the scissors and she is not problem at all.
For her nails, I wait until shes all relaxed on the couch and snip away. She just looks at me like...not again, LOL.
For her glands, when she skoots...she goes to the vet and they charge me $12.00. That way I know she has not been injured in that arear.
