I wouldn't really do it...
...but I would express my disdain of being treated in such a manner to management or the owners depending on the store's type and I'd definitely envision doing so...
My biggest thing is I don't spend my hard earned money supporting things I either don't beleive in, want to support or for myself or others to be treated negatively...often boycotts of financial nature are the most effective...you can write letters to companies all day long but refusing to financially support them creates change a whole lot faster an more effectively.
