My Leila was throwing up constantly once and finally ended up with bloody diarrhea and blood stained mucus throw up. We rushed her to the emergency vet, only to have them tell me to not feed her for 24 hours, to give her stomach time to heal (they also said it was because she strained) and the bloody diarrhea is normal after it. We gave her ice cubes made with pedialite to ensure that she was taking in fluids during that time. She was fine the next day..Hope all is well with yours now
