one of the reasons I don't like to feed pre-made raw is because they do gobble it down so fast! just like humans, it takes a while for their belly to send info to the brain to say they are full...thats why people always say to eat slowly and take your time. He might still feel hungry, but if you wait a little while, maybe his "full" sensors would kick in.
thats one problem a prey model raw diet solves. if i put down a chicken leg for dexter, he licks it first getting the digestive juices flowing, then has to work to rip apart the meat. he usually take 30 mins+ to eat a meal and he stops when he is full. |
