I've heard too many times of well meaning people flagging people's ads and end up hurting people/animals, etc in the process. Let craiglist run its program, it's their business to monitor not an ad reader's.

Kendra, it's not craigslist, it's ebay classifieds. Big difference.
As for flagging things on Craigslist, they have their rules in place for a reason. It's not as if they have a monitor reading every post to make sure that ads are complying. It's up to the community to make sure that the rules are being followed and to bring those that aren't to the attention of the powers that be.
To the OP, yes, you did the right thing in flagging a fraudulent add. You might also want to forward it on to the AKC for their review.
