I believe the author of this add, on eBay not craigs, means that the parents are both AKC registered, but they list the pups as AKC which is misleading ad does warrent flagging for fraud. Thus you did the right things they could very well be attempting to defraud people.
They sell multiple pups...people don't advertise to ship pups on craigs list (that I know of at least in most cases) there you meet the person and pick the pup up so you see what's going on to a certain degree at least, which is the least concerning?
At least on craigslist ads are often of someone re-homing a dog or offering an accidental litter, even a BYB who cares enough to meet the adopter in many cases-the same could be said about eBay but ye not so much the vast majority of pups listed on eBay classifieds are in fact pup mill pups, yes eBay classifieds are an option to find something locally but often the ads offer to ship as soon as payment is received...not even an adoption application etc-what does that tell people..."don't even meet us we are using this not as a local directory but a national exposure listing to distance ourselves from the customer and cut out the broker costs...(IMO based on research). |
