Thanks. My Brittany amazes our vet. She has a very pronounced heart murmur and has had two heart attacks this summer, and is significantly deaf, although she can hear some noises. She is still with us. And she is my biggest helper with my own kids and now with Matthias. I am dreading the day she passes. She is 13 this month and we have had her since she was 6. (Her owners were boocoo rich and adopted her from Britain. They gave her to us because they were just too busy traveling around the world to care for her. Amazing, isn't it? Spoiled rich people. ) My husband refers to her as one of his girls. When I had my spine surgery she almost never left my side. To this day if my back is hurting really bad, all I have to do is lay on my side and she will press her body against my back - like a heating pad! And now with Matthias she is the best big sister he could ask for. Our male cat (my husband's cat... he's what we call in this house a little schiess) has been checking out Matthias so Cinamin usually stands between the two. So far Matthias has been tormenting Hobbes (the cat) but I think Cinamin is just making sure Hobbes doesn't turn it around - Hobbes is 18 pounds (I did you not!) compared to the 4.2 of Matthias!!! Anyway, Cinamin is very protective of every member in this house, and so far Matthias is no different. She has even taken to showing him the ropes outside during potty time. It's hilarious. It is supposed to be in the 60s today so I'm hoping to get video of the two playing outside today.
