Jillie is the only one trained for both. She prefers outside, but uses the pad exclusively if she doesn't have a choice. Eddie goes outside and can hold it forever.

I did that for the times they get sick and can't hold it all day long, or the times we travel. It's nice to be able to pull out a pad at the airport and take care of business without having to exit security and find a lawn somewhere.
