My thoughts exactly. This seems to be the wrong reason to breed this little guy. If you are set in your mind to do it though, please do it responsibly and have a full physical done on him and the female before you even consider. Make sure you have several responsible, caring people lined up who are ready and willing to adopt the babies prior to the breeding. If your going to mate him with a maltese, then I guess breed standard isn't a real issue for you, but you should still know the background from both parent's ancestors and have some testing done prior. You should also choose two very good specimans of each breed.I am not against the mating of 2 purebred dogs as long as it is done in a responsible way with a carefully planned program. I don't feel that is what is happening here. I hope you will take this into consideration and I wish you the best!
