It is really not so much the surgery itself (although that is always a concern) that worries me for Annie. It is increasing the risk of a great many other conditions for the rest of her young little life. In most cases, I push spay & neuter too -- but it is not automatic -- lots of considerations. The chance of Annie coming into contact with an intact male here where we live is pretty remote too. Annie is the only one of my 3 that is nor S&N'd so it is a precaution I normally take .... but .... well, just read through a few of the references about S&N risks and downsides....it does make a person pause and rethink...
Sure wish we had a little longer than 5 min. to edit a post! My previous post has "their" when it should be "there" -- I hate it when I do that! Inattention to detail and some extra pain meds for post-surgery pain will be my excuse this time!
