I think this may be exactly the problem - she sounds very young, immature and scared. If so, she probably doesn't have a clue what to do in this situation.
I'm not defending this situation in anyway, but her profile does show she lives in a small town - one that may not have taxi service.
I don't know either of these things for a fact, but if I'm right the fault lies with the parents for not rushing this pup in for immediate care....not with a frigtened young girl. A girl who may need our help even more today IF she can get her parents to take this little one to a vet. The internet may have been her only way of getting help.
If I'm wrong, then I'm in full agreement with everyone else here and I'll apologize to you all for my assumptions. I see it as often as everyone else here - people coming to YT for free medical advice, just looking to save a buck. And I HATE it!!!
But I've also seen terrified children who couldn't get their parents to listen or to care. Let's try to wait and see which case this is.
