Atleast you know he will be safe!  We open our gifts early in the morning, then go down to my fiance's grandma's house! We all live in walking distance of each other! Then we eat breakfast, take a nap, then go back down there! Gidget usually goes when we go back! I like everyone to get to see her, and to let her feel the xmas spirit!!! LOL
