My baby, Kandi, is very very pregnant, like 51 days now and the vet says there are 5 puppies (x-rayed on 12-20-05) and she has signs of pre-labor, mucous, milk, but her progesterone level isn't low enough for c-section. The vet says that we could lose the whole litter if she delivers before her levels are down. Has anyone ever experienced this? I need some help, advice on what to expect here. I know that 5 is way more than normal, she only weighs 3 pounds (pre-pregnancy) and the labor can kill her if it goes too far before I get her to the vet.. Am taking her everywhere with me, no alone time whatsoever for her at this point, so I am watching her every move as she is my baby, I love her and don't want to risk her life in any way. Any advice will be greatly appreciated, thanks and Merry Christmas

JLisaLo, I know this was and accident and you are so upset. Kandi and her pups will be in my prayers!!
