I know just how you feel - I was going to leave Rowdy on Thanksgiving day for the very same reasons, but in the end, I just couldn't do it. So, I wore my chest carrier - it's like a backpack but sits in front - and Rowdy rode in it all day. He just snuggled down and slept much of the time - the rest of the time, he just sat up and looked around. I know everyone probably thought I was crazy, but I just couldn't leave him at home and I couldn't let him down at my daughters. When I did sit down, he sat in my lap.
