I have a puppy who is a HOUNDER meaning he HOUNDS anything and everything. If I let him eat & drink all day he would. So he gets 3 meals a day and also is offered water through a water bottle while we are at work in his pen (that way he can't gulp it all down at once) and then from a bowl in 1/4-1/3 cup amounts every 2 hours. We don't give him water past 7pm either. He is 18 weeks old though, we left the water down 24/7 until he was 14 weeks old just in case. He is doing very well on his schedule.
