Just finally reading this thread. I was hoping it would end with good news. I will be watching for your next post about the results. Praying for the best!
I kinda stopped commenting about lepto on this board some time ago because my vet highly recommends the vaccination and I was told that perhaps he was just being money-hungry and not having Tatum's best interests in mind. But I believe him.... we do have cattle on our land and while usually only the Aussies go beyond the cattle guard and into the pasture, they surely can still track "cooties" back into the main yard for Tatum to be exposed to. Luckily she has never had a reaction to the vaccine. No matter what vaccine you're researching, you HAVE to keep in mind the area you live in and the circumstances of your dog's life. Some dogs never even step foot out of the house and onto grass while some are exposed to all kinds of things that others consider "dangerous". You've got to trust your vet. That doesn't mean you can't do your own research and then discuss it with him/her though.
