These are the top 5 ingredients including water. Wheat gluten, corn-starch modified and meat-by products are all things that you really do not want inside your pups food. The wheat gluten and the corn starch are mostly fillers and stabilizers to give the product shape and consistency. The meat-by-products are useless, as they are there to boost the crude proteins count. Unfortunately, not all crude proteins are digestible, so while the can might says 22 % crude protein, your dog may only be getting 10% that is digestible and usable by his system.
Try maybe primal raw mixed in with his food and see if that will do the same thing. At least then he would be receiving quality complete proteins with his kibble.
