I agree...but ignorance about the "teacup" term is pretty common. A lot of people think that a 5lb yorkie is a "teacup" when in reality it's just a healthy, standard yorkie. People don't do very much research before purchasing their pups, so they can be easily taken by the average byb who advertises "Yorkies of all sizes, from teaspoon to teapot!" which are yorkies 2lbs to 20lbs. They don't understand that they are just purchasing a poorly bred yorkie, and chi and maltese for that matter.
Knowledge is the best tool, all we can do is help educate the public...unfortunately the ones seeking education aren't the ones we need to worry about.
