In 10 minutes, it'll be 10 days before I go get our new Little Dude! (Can you tell I'm excited? ) Trying to get everything ready for the big arrival, and I'm spending WAY more time than I should researching grooming supplies, harnesses, doggie clothes, etc. I posted some questions re: carriers in the product review section, but I haven't been able to get any answers, so I'm hoping someone here can advise me...

Of course there's no real way to determine how big the pup will be, Dam and Sire were 4-6 lbs. So I can assume eventual adult weight will be in that ballpark, but you never know. Is it smart to buy a purse-style dog carrier when Little Dude is still so small? Will it help him get used to be transported this way? I don't want to spend a fortune on a really nice bag only to have him outgrow it in a few months/yr. How did you bring your puppy to his/her 1st vet visit? Any recommendations on a carrier that's cute/functional/well-made/etc that has outside pockets for MY stuff? Selection in my town is pretty limited so I need to order something soon! Thanks!
