Right now he is eating Wellness small breed formula but the vet said he will need to switch to something with a lower protein content. He said I will probably need to switch to one of the Hills prescription foods that they sell. I'm not thrilled with that because I know it's not the best quality food out there. Of course I also want to follow the vet's advice because I would never want to do anything to harm my fur baby. Does anyone know if there is another food out there that might work for a low protein diet to prevent bladder stones from reforming?
The first question is to find out the kind of stones. Depending on the type of stone, you can find other options include a home cooked diet. when will you have the results?
