I pray that all works out as you want it too - and that in the end everyone is happy!!! |

As far as the pup.. getting a dog could be a 15 year decision. You had in your mind what you wanted and made a contract for that puppy. I do understand your dismay. From the many post made "we" think the size may not mean that much to the Pom. but to be honest (I used to have a 7 lb pom) he most likely doesn't want a fur sibling! at all!!!!!!!!! But you know your dog the best. I think you had your heart set on a certain image of the little yorkie and your pom playing together and now you just can't see that happening with this pup. I think you want to do right by the little yorkie.. and I hope you don't give up on trying to do the best. I agree on interviewing "rehomers" to be sure they will care for the pup not just see a way to get a "free" pup. If rehoming is the way you go.
Now.. on the other hand. Many YT members have such passion for their dogs. Many feel like the desire for the tiny puppies is negative and greedy.
So that is the negative vive you are feeling.. that and the feeding to weight gain question. When you understand the passion of the posters I hope you understand what they are saying and the how they are saying it. ( I know you don't want a tiny -- just a standard size.)
I think this has turned out to be a valuable lesson.. and a costly one also.
Please don't give up, and do your best for the pup.
BTW.. I have a shih tuz (rehomed from my daughter) that grew to 25 lbs. My image of a sweet little fluff ball grew and grew and grew. His size may have been part of the reason my daughter could not handle him in a condo. But I love him, I do wish he was a bit smaller but he is mine now. So.. I got another fluff ball to fit the image I had.. all ( three dogs) are happy and all are doing well...
good luck |
