When we brought our Yorkie home he was 3 lbs. Our existing dog, a Basset Hound, was 70 lbs. They are fine together, they play and usually the only one who ends up crying is the bigger dog! If you don't think that the dogs are a good match then it would be best to give up the new dog I guess. As far as everyone saying 1/2 cup a day is not enough food for a small dog, well I must disagree. I feed my pup Blue Buffalo and on the bag it says 1/2 cup per day for his size. My vet has never said he was malnourished. The better the food, the less you usually need to feed because it is not made up of a bunch of fillers. |
