If you are out the money, then so be it. Consider it an expensive lesson in doing your homework before you buy.

well, I do have a 14 year old son that I'm looking to rehome!... 0h, just kidding...
I agree though with the above post let the breeder resell...tell her you've changed your mind and understand she may have held the dog back for you rather than sell to someone else, so it's fair she keep some of the money, but maybe she'd give some of it back...or apply it toward a future pup. It's ok to change your mind and breeder may not be 'pleased' but it's your option as a buyer.
I agree that the little 4 pounders are cute as can be but I have a 3.8 one who is so delicate it scares me (not to mention (as I have many times here) she fell off the couch onto a carpeted floor and it cost us 400$ in x-rays, etc.,+ 3 1/2 weeks of holding/isolation while it healed)...whereas our 5-6 pound Yorkies are "sturdy" but at the same time if you don't want a 9-10 pounder, best to pass now and wait until you can find one that is more in your vision (but don't just grab a little one...trust the YT people here...those little ones can have problems above and beyond delicate bones/muscle mass)
