My vets seem to prefer Zyrtec. Both my vet and our doggy allergist have reported better success with Zyrtec. Alex gets his Zyrtec in the evening, as it makes him a bit drowsy (he's about 11 lbs now and gets 1/2 tablet every night, although my vet said he could really take the whole tablet). He also gets atopica and allergy shots.
