I had to go to an endodontist for my root canal. I was referred by my regular dentist. I had a filling when I was like 14 done and it wasn't at a very good dentist (we heard things after the fact) and then 3 years later, that tooth flared up again and that's when I needed the root canal. I have to say, it wasn't a bad experience. Not that I'd purposely seek out or look forward to a root canal, LOL, but the endodontist was really professional, knew what he was doing, I felt no pain.
