Godd Luck
I know alot of people say not to do the pads if your are training to go outside but since I work and I am gone 8-9 hours a day what else are they to do. They can't hold it that long. So I do use the pads and outside and it can work. It does take a while for them to get the hang of it and they have had accidents. But both of mine are trained on pads and outside.

Also while you are gone remove all rugs. Mine also are not in a crate they have their room and the kitchen and both areas have the potty pads.
