Welcome to Yorkie Talk. I know you will love it here. I don't know much about rescue pups, only what I have read. Some say to keep interacting with your pup and he will learn how to play. He is new to you so he could be adjusting. Calleigh is 3 now and has never wanted to play very much. She will only play when I play with her. I set time aside every day to do that. She only plays for a little while and seems to get bored. I do wish she would play more, but I guess that's just her. She won't play at all when she is outdoors. She did fetch a stick a couple of times, but that's about it. I would continue to play with your pup. The exercise will good for them.
