Default Update

Well, today was the day I was to take Jillian to the vet. Unfortunately, I'm considering returning her to the shelter.

She is incredibly protective of me & bit one of my other dogs who was begging to be let up on the furniture. It happened so fast, I was a bit shocked. No warning growl, just bit. She is so much bigger than my yorkies, that I fear I can never leave her home alone with them. She has taken to not allowing them on the bed at night either. If they are on it first, she ignores them, but if they get up in the middle of the night, she won't allow them back on.

I am so confused & heartsick. She didn't break any skin, but it wasn't a warning nip, it was a snarling, lucky you moved & mommy intervened attempt to bite. My yorkies come first, so I'm worried that trying to do the right thing by homing this girl, might mean harming my other dogs. I sorely wish I could see the future right now.

She hasn't been allowed in my lap or chair since. This happened a couple hours ago. What would you do?
