Ask a vet...then do it!
A lot of people use Home Again chips...depends mostly on who your vets does.
You can also go to many rescues and they have their vets do it to raise their own funds (they usually charge significantly less than any regular vet) and they also give a discount in the service because they want to ensure a lost dog makes it home...not unclaimed and then maybe save by a rescue...I believe almost all humane society shelters offer this service...but many other independant rescues do also. |
