Now I have been told that all small breed have this issue and I have asked my vet about it they have suggested 1.5mg of melatonin about an hour before bad weather hits if I know its coming. Sometimes it works and sometimes not A couple times I did put him in his crate and covered it thinking it might calm him but it did not and I took him out.

There is no consoling him at these times, you can hold and love on him and it makes no difference. It is raining now and we are expecting bad storms tonight, I did give him his melatonin with a half of a pepcid AC when he gets stressed his pancreatitis kicks in and thats a whole other issue. any help/suggestions is appreciated

I do not know if it would help with thunder storms, but maybe with rain. Turn a TV on kinda loud to drown out the sound.

We have to do this with Onni when we do target shooting. She shakes so hard it scares me and the only thing that calms her down is to turn the TV on and drown out the sound.
