A bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing...haha..........the more I read the more confused I get....the more questions I ask....the details all seem conflicting. Everyone has their own way of describing the proper color and they sure are all different!
These pics are close ups of my own yorkies coats, are any of these a true blue??
I thought maybe pictures might help me understand. I see variations in the coats of many show coat yorkies and maybe its the lighting.
I feel like a kid trying to learn how to read and have to have a picture book first 
But I am also a breeder so its like buying the cart before the horse too .....be kind! I do plan to attend some shows this yr too to get a whole lot better perpective.....this stuff is complicated!
Next threads........cottony, wooly, silky coats......ugh

A friend loaned me a video sold at the AKC website that discusses color and every other thing in the breed standard. I'm new to the breed, too, and this is something that takes a while to get ahold of, IMHO.
