I finally got some steps. They are gray plastic (cheap) with gray non-skid pads on the steps. Despite it being cheap $19.99 less 20% off at Bed, Bath, & Beyond...they actually don't look that bad. I would use gray with a black and white theme. Anyway, start with some cheap ones, see if you can get the puppy to use them, if so then you can always elaborate with fancy and more sturdy steps if you wanted (these are not sturdy enough for children to be jumping & playing on). I think he would use them starting this young. Our little ones do (and they aren't as little as yours).
I wish I had gotten steps long before this...certainly would have saved the $400 ER trip when one of ours fell off the couch! (she's ok, and the benefit we got a full work-up, complete x-rays of all her joints...which she passed with flying colors -- at least I keep telling myself that was the benefit!!)
