I confess I don't understand the whole "buy a breeder not a pup" attitude. I'm buying a pup. The pup is gonna live with me every day. The pup is the one I'm responsible for for the next 15+ years (hopefully).
I have a new pup, who came to me clean, healthy & sound and received a clean bill of health from my vet. That makes me a happy new pup owner.
As long as I'm buying a puppy from someone's pet, and not a pet store or puppymill, what is the issue? What am I missing??? |
Yes, Remy is very healthy. Congrats on your new pup

. The "buy a breeder not a puppy" means you have to find a good breeder before you buy a puppy. I got lucky that Remy is healthy because many breeders like the one I listed have puppies that have live shunt, LP, and many other problems. Also, when I contacted Remy's breeder to see why he was having urinating problems, she could careless. A good breeder would have cared and discussed why this was happening with me. This shows me that if Remy ever had a serious genetic health problem she would probably never answer the phone. Why? Because she got her money and could careless about the puppy and she definitely wouldn't want to be held responsible for genetic issues.
