In 1959 the Australian National Kennel Council renamed the breed from, Sydney Silky Terrier to the Australian Silky Terrier.
I would think they are around the same cost as a Yorkie. Remember, you usually get what you pay for,so do some research on the breeder . Good luck on your search. There are breeders around.
