Tibbe drags his toys all over the house but most of them he scatters about the den after running all over the house growling and shaking them to death! A couple he hides between the couch cushions and one or two he puts in his fuzzy dog bed where he occasionally retires when he's mad at me. Every night I collect all of them into his toy basket and every morning he puts them all back out all over again. I change out the toys in his basket about once every two weeks until we run through his drawer full of toys and start the whole rotation back over again. Tibbe loves to play "hide and seek with chew bones". He taught this game to me the first time he did it. He will bait me with showing me his chew bone, forcing it into my hand, grabbing it back out and running off into the living room. After zipping around in there for about 2 minutes, he dashes into the den sans the chew bone and runs up to me, jumping up and down and barking excitedly as he looks toward the living room, eyes big as saucers with excitement and starts running toward the living room. Eventually I follow him and go into the living room saying "Where did Tibbe hide the chew bone?!?!" I go all over the living room saying that over and over, Tibbe right on my heels, looking under each piece of furniture until I find his hiding place, yell out that "Mommie won 'Hide and Seek'!", pick up the bone as Tibbe races around, make a big celebration of it and come back into the den with the chew bone and throw it across the den, singing out "Hide and Seek". Tibbe races for the chew bone, flies around the den, starts to bait me with the chew bone again and dashes off into the living room to hide it again...............He could play this game all day. Mommie, not so much. |
