My advice is to look at the YTCA breeder referral page. Just remember to screen very carefully. Even YTCA members lose their way.

Anyway, take your time and don't rush into buying a pup. You buy your breeder first, and the pup second. I say this because all puppies are cute and can pull on your heart strings. If you fall in love with a pup, it makes it harder to screen a breeder. You want to find a breeder that will stand by their pup, if it gets sick after a year, after 2 years, or 10. A good breeder will stand behind their dogs as long as you own them, (15+ years). It might cost a bit, but you'll benefit in the long run.
