hi,
congrats on the expected puppies!
as kjcmsw said... it's all about the genetics; what where his parents like- structure and size? there could vey well be a throwback of size, but the vet should have raised the concern if there were any larger puppies... but small at birth in no way means it Will be a small adult- or vise versa.
you mentioned this is her 1st litter, is it Your 1st litter as well? if so, would your vet or a local Good breeder be willing to be there just incase? and have you been told or read about the assistance the majority of yorkies need during the actual birth?
her age could also play a part in the ease of the whelp... i'm assuming she is a young adult?

i will apologise (a little) now for the 'bombardment' of questions (i'm sure others will have more that could prove useful for you)- some newer members recently seem to have been getting very annoyed when they learn that yorkietalk as a whole cares a great deal for Everyones yorkies, not just their own... and some take great offense to being asked questons (needed to explain just incase!) and of course we will try our best to answer every question you have!!
