I dont know your grandmothers age but I think puppies react to their surroundings... My puppy was super active but then again so was my house hold, I had a 15 year old daughter who always had friends over, they played with my dog for hours.. their was music playing kids laughing going in and out , so she got hyper from her surroundings.. Im going to assume that your grandmother is pretty laid back, and has a quite household.
